A maximalist exploration designed to reward curiosity—the longer you look, the more you'll find.

This piece actually began in early 2023, then sat dormant for almost two years before I revisited it with fresh eyes and better tools. Creating controlled chaos with generative AI is harder than it looks; every layer was intentionally sketched and inpainted in Krita to balance energy with composition.

The challenge was maintaining visual harmony while keeping that sense of discovery intact. I worked with repeating motifs—particularly the cats rendered in different styles from flat graphics to dimensional forms—to create rhythm within the chaos. The color palette stays deliberately restrained despite the visual density, using blacks as structural anchors to prevent everything from blurring together. Each element exists somewhere on a spectrum from pure abstraction to recognizable imagery, encouraging the eye to constantly shift between pattern recognition and pure visual experience.

The goal was to create something that functions like a visual treasure hunt: immediate impact at first glance, but with layers of detail that reveal themselves over time. Maximalism that invites you in rather than overwhelming you.
