This version isn't just a simple upscale of my portfolio site image; it's a reworked version with significantly more detail, optimized for high-resolution printing.
I want to address the AI disclosure label: years of work and countless hours went into creating this piece. While I used generative fill as part of my process, it functioned as a tool to refine my original sketches—similar to how a painter uses a brush or a photographer uses editing software. The AI didn't conceive the composition, make the creative decisions, or do the artistic work; I did.
I have no issue being transparent about my tools and process. What concerns me is that the current labeling system treats all AI involvement as equivalent, regardless of the extent or nature of its use. It doesn't distinguish between someone typing a prompt and getting an output versus an artist who uses AI as one tool among many in a complex creative workflow. This broad categorization can misrepresent the actual creative effort and skill involved.
I believe in transparency, but I also believe context matters.
