A frost-laden tree stands sentinel at the edge of a frozen Nordic seascape, where winter's grip meets an extraordinary sky ablaze with violet and coral light. This piece explores the liminal spaces between seasons, temperatures, and states of being—the quiet moments when the world holds its breath before transformation.
Built through my layered construction process: hand-sketched composition, targeted masking in Krita, and AI-assisted rendering with careful attention to atmospheric depth and light behavior. Each element—from the crystalline frost details to the stratified cloud formations—was developed separately to maintain control over the final mood and visual flow.
The dissolving edges where the composition meets white space create a sense of emergence, as if this scene is crystallizing from memory or dream rather than fixed geography.
