Unresolved

A winter night unfolds beneath a vivid aurora, where purple and magenta light cascades across a star-filled sky. Silhouetted evergreens frame a snow-covered lake, its surface broken and refrozen—beautiful from a distance, but impassable up close. The path forward exists in theory, but the ground truth tells a different story.
The title invites a second look. What appears as a serene landscape reveals itself as something more ambiguous: a visual meditation on obstacles, distance, and the gap between what we can see and what we can reach.

Process:
Created through methodical inpainting in multiple passes. The composition was built in sections—sky, treelines, and foreground treated as separate masked areas with targeted prompting for each element. The aurora and atmospheric effects were refined through careful denoising control, while the broken ice details and color reflections were developed layer by layer to create both visual interest and conceptual depth.
