The backstory of this image is probably not what you think. We have two cats and a small dog, and one day one of the cats was hit by a car and died instantly. Her name was Luna. I couldn't sleep afterwards, and I decided to create an image to take my mind off it all. Somehow, this was all I could think about, a golden girl at night in the rain. So I decided to name her after my late cat.

The image was created in Krita with the Interstice plugin, several different SDXL models went into parts of the image, and the image is a blend of manual painting and AI rendering of parts.
